Site in 2008
MUNNAR, February 15, 2010: The High Court had recently observed that the Green Munnar was being turned into Brown Munnar by encroachers. However, browning take places in different ways. Here is a case in point.

The first picture is taken in 2008 after the government put up board saying that the land adjoining the road near Lockhart gap belonged the Government during the Munnar mission to evict encroachers and demolish unauthorised constructions.

The second picture shows the present condition (February 2010). The Board put up by the government disappeared after the Munnar mission was aborted.
